Environmental perception of 7th graders at Benta Pereira School regarding the Vigário Lagoon, Guarus, Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ

Abstract

Environmental education helps to educate citizens. In research emerges the importance of using ecosystems as places of learning, recommended in the literature for effective inclusive education. We used the Vigário Lake an ecosystem impacted by urbanization, located near the College Benta Pereira, Guarus-RJ, where he was held with students from seventh grade. Applied the method of forms, of which it was perceived that students know well the pond, but shows that, by the government to give priority to other investments is not cleaning the pond. However, we detected an interest in developing environmental projects in the college stating that environmental education helps to prepare citizens reflect and participate.
