This study explores the progression of prosperity in tourism by analyzing factors such as sources, document types, journal names, publisher names, trends, and author collaborations. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 256 papers published between 2012 and 2022, using “Prosperity in Tourism” as the primary keyword in Scopus. The majority of articles are in English. Data extraction was performed using Harzing’s Publish or Perish, and VoS Viewer was used for citation analysis and data visualization. Findings show that scientific journals are the main outlet for publications on prosperity in tourism, with these papers receiving the highest number of citations. According to the network visualization, the terms that appear most frequently are considered the most dominant. Development, community, tourism, ecotourism, tourist destination, local community, approach, society, economy, industry, travel, country, information, destination, analysis, area, research, data, stakeholder, and case study. The overlay visualization of prosperity in tourist provides insights into the most recent research trends pertaining to experience, sustainability, literature, tourist industry, government, and community research in the field of tourism prosperity. Research on prosperity in tourism is intricately linked to the tourism business, as well as community development and sustainability.
