Prediction Covert Relational Aggression (social sabotage and love withdrawal) Based on Attachment Styles in Married Women in Birjand: With Shame & Guilt As Mediator Variables

Abstract:Objective: This study aimed to investigate the role of mediator conscious emotions (shame and guilt) of women in the relationship between attachment styles and covert relational aggression, has been done. Methods: This study was a correlation study of structural equation modeling. The study population was comprised married women of Birjand. A sample of 350 married women participated in the study. Method of sampling were available. Data collection included questionnaires attachment styles Collins and Read (1990), the scale of self-conscious emotions (shame and guilt) Tangney, Wagner and Gomez (1989) and covert relational aggression Questionnaire of Carole & Nelson (2006). To analyze statistical methods, Pearson correlation and structural equation model(SEM) was used. Results: The results showed that there are significant relationships between variables (01 / 0≥P). Conclusion: In general, the results showed that the relationship between attachment styles associated with covert relational aggression in women was mediated by feelings of shame and guilt. The conclusion about the relationship between attachment styles & social sabotage was more shown.
