Clinical and prognostic aspects of patients with the Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) from a cohort in Northeast Brazil

Highlights • Isolated transverse myelitis was the most frequent initial clinical syndrome. • Optic neuritis as first clinical syndrome was independently associated with better prognostic. • Age at onset were associated with faster disease progression. • Hashimoto's thyroiditis was the most frequent autoimmune disease in NMOSD.
