Understanding and learning language registers with TV series “Mother & daughter”

Abstract

This work presents a group of activities based on TV series “Mother & Daughter” to be used in the French classroom to teach French as a foreign language at B1 level. The aim of the suggested activities is to help students understand different features of language registers and acquire major characteristics of oral French communication registers (informal, neutral, formal).
