Abstract
The latest modern instrumental methods for the automated mineralogical analyses onthe base of scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with energy dispersive X-rayspectrometer (EDS) and the special automated systems (QUANTA, MLA, TIMA), whichcan be eectively used in future in the aid of soil and geological forensic examinationare described. Principles of their work are depicted. The special software enabling workof SEM-EDS in an automated mode are also considered.
