Augusto y las herramientas de legitimación: espacio, urbanismo y arqueología del poder
Abstract
With the establishment of the Principate in Rome, the emperor Augustus undertook a series of urban reforms in the Vrbs that served to beautify, monumentalize and redesign the public space of the imperial city. For this reason, analyses regarding ideological, political, cultural and social motives behind the intensive buildings constructions should be grounded on interpretative theories offered by the studies of the language of power. This would enable comprehending better the elements that the Princeps utilised to expose his power in every corner of his Empire.
