Women’s status in Romanian media organizations: Social and cultural influences on the work environment
Abstract
This article examines various aspects related to women’s advancement in media organizations in Romania, based on data from the International Women’s Media Foundation’s Global Report on the Status of Women in the News Media. The two authors of this article functioned as Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and respectively country-based researcher for the study at the basis of the report. The data is discussed in the context of the influences of social circumstances and cultural dimensions on media occupations.
