Abstract

This study is about the book titled Standing in Hakikatin Dârına Durmak Alevilikte Kadın, prepared by Bedriye Poyraz. The work consists of the papers of the Symposium on Women in Alevism in Faith and Social Life. The symposium that inspired the book is the first academic study on Alevism and Women. The work includes an introduction and nine articles. The symposium and the resulting articles question and address how the equality of men and women is implemented in social and daily life in the Alevism belief.
