Οι ιδιωτισμοί στη λογοτεχνία: διδακτική προσέγγιση της μεταφραστικής πράξης

Abstract

There are currently quite numerous linguistic studies dealing with idiomatic expressions in different languages; however, issues concerning their translation are not fully and systematically treated by linguists, lexicographers and translators. This paper deals with the translation teaching of idiomatic expressions, mainly those found in literary texts, using relevant corpus data drawn from a French novel and its Greek translation. The aim of the paper is to identify and classify problems arisen when translating those expressions, to examine possible effective translation procedures to treat them and, finally, to propose a teaching methodology for their translation.
