This research aims to analyze the subjective dimensions and meanings of work for cane cutting workers facing the end of his activity in the Pioneer North of Paraná. Basing on the Socio-Historical Psychology, this research aims to understand the subjective dimension of cane cutting workers and thus understand the subject within a social and historical context that changes. Therefore, it was possible to identify the order of the court activity cane occurred by mechanization of sugarcane plantations, but also by the current socio-economic context of the country which favors the migration of workers to other activities, however, the migration activity does not mean the end precarious work the sugarcane worker faces. The rural workers and their living conditions legitimized by capitalist ideology, there are improvements on the job, taking them to undergo other activities that pose a risk to life and harms their health, with it, the end of a painful activity, not ensures improvements to the worker's life, just as improvements in working conditions also are not guarantees of greater dignity at work, they often are camouflage mechanism and handle the expropriation of the worker.
