Shockwave therapywas introduced in Europein the early1990sas analternate, non-invasive, pain-freemethod for the treatment of pain, to the detriment of surgical interventions. Shockwave technology is arevolutionary therapy with no side effects, with limited time and sessionsdepending on thetreatmentof diagnosisindicatedby the medical specialist.Shockwavesare sent towards the discomfortindicated by thepatient and bybiofeedback, thus triggering their ownbody restoring mechanismsand thus enablingthe healing process. This a therapy recommendedwithin the full recovery process of the patient. The subjects of the researchwere two patientswith“runner’s knee”and Dupuytrencontracturepathology. Upon applyingShockwave therapy andkinesiotherapy, a favourable evolutionwas noted in case of the two patients. This study confirmed once againthe efficiencyof this therapyin the recovery of traumas. It is not recommended as single therapy, but as an adjuvant for the entire recovery program.
