Abstract. The article is devoted to understanding the psychological and pedagogical aspects of glamping - a modern type of tourist activity of the population. Behind this relatively new practice is the rather long history of ethnic and ecological tourism, in their educational, therapeutic, etc. modes. However, the practice itself has been studied very little, including especially in its psychological and pedagogical aspects, opportunities and limitations. The purpose of the study is to comprehend the psychological and pedagogical opportunities and limitations of glamping and tourism in general as a set of human development practices. The research method is a theoretical analysis of the psychological and pedagogical possibilities and limitations of glamping. Results and discussion. The study is associated with an attempt to highlight, psychological, pedagogical and related difficulties (limitations) and resources (possibilities) of glamping as a kind of ecological and ethnographic tourism, aimed at solving the problems of the development of a person as a person, as well as its development in interpersonal and educational-professional relations. The article notes the duality of the effects of glamping in the context of the development of a person as a person, partner and professional. Although the practice of glamping as a whole creates the conditions for the activation and development of a person’s interest in nature and culture, as well as himself as a subject of nature and culture, its potential cannot be overestimated: glamping is a practice of human development, associated with a number of serious limitations. The ideological orientation of glamping and its consumers towards comfort is rather an attempt to get away from reality, rather than return to it.
