In the current research, the mixed convection and radiation heat transfer for a longitudinal fin with a constant velocity and considering heat source is analytically investigated. Two effective analytical methods called Method of Moments (MOM) and Least Square Method (LSM) will be employed to analyze the problem. However, using weighted residual methods creates an economical way in solution time and there is no need for grid generation difficulties. After attaining the dimensionless governing equations and solving them by MOM and LSM, the precision of results is tested by comparing with numerical solutions, and a reasonable accuracy is demonstrated. It can be drawn from the results that increasing the M, NR and Pe causes a decrease in temperature profile, but with rise of β the dimensionless temperature enhances.
