Identidade e Diferença: Redefinindo o debate filosófico em Etnomatemático

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a philosophical reflection on some of the assumptions and concepts that guide research in ethnomathematics. It covers topics which are familiar in an attempt to point to new horizons and possibilities for philosophical debates in this area. Therefore different theoretical and philosophical aspects are considered influential in this endeavor. The starting point is an article of this field that addresses different concepts (difference, identity, exclusion, culture). Starting with the article observed, this research seeks to rethink some of the concepts that intersect the philosophical discourses of etnomatematics. In this way, one of the main objectives is to stimulate critical and philosophical reflections on some issues of ethnomathematics research in order to, perhaps, redefine the debates that influence this field of research. This seeks, in turn, to contribute to the debate on the philosophical basis of Ethnomatematics and move towards an ethnomathematical philosophy
