SPECIFICS OF MOTIVATION LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE BY STUDENTS OF NOT LANGUAGE DIRECTIONS IN MININ UNIVERSITУ
Abstract
The authors refer to the issue of identification of motifs in the study of a foreign language. The authors point to the need for learning a foreign language, as it provides the most best performance of professional activities. Provided motivation as the main driving force in learning a foreign language, it is noted that the motives related to the subjective world of the person, which is determined by its internal motives. The authors examine the external and internal motivation. To reveal the motives of learning a foreign language of students of not language directions in Minin University authors have conducted surveillance and questioning. The main motivating factors in learning a foreign language made by a desire to acquire professional competencies, suggesting foreign language, and the motive of self-improvement: the predominance of their own well-being of motives, the desire for personal superiority and prestige.
