This article intend to present an analysis of scientific production with focus on research on corporate governance, in the health sector in Brazil. A Bibliometrical research was performed using the Harzing software database, with the Publish or Parish methodology. The study encompassed two phases (i) documentary and bibliographic research, and (ii) analysis of bibliometric results. The survey was conducted based on 2004-2014 period, and the query performed resulted a production report with 621 authors with 4,571 citations. The year 2010 had the highest number of publications, although the scientific production on 2007 were most frequently mentioned. From the release, data infers a tendency to treat up corporate governance in health, linked to nonprofits or government organizations. It is inferred to the Corporate Governance, in the health sector in the private organizations, an incipient stage linked to educational institutes and research institutes as well as professional associations. The bibliometric measurement allowed the quantitative analysis of the scientific production and their references and citations. These results were grouped literature matrices. After identifying these production and their references and citations this study contributes to the understanding of scientific production in the health sector about the corporate governance, mapping sources of knowledge production and highlighting the need for a deep study in the area to make appropriate corporate governance actions, due the multifaceted range of the health sector.
