Abstract

The mole cricket is an ambiguous insect: many tales and folkloric archives from Lituania or others countries, draw a paradoxical picture of this strange animal. Whereas its ninth and venomous thought is able to kill you at one bite, once the other eight thought are formulated, magical mystery uses it to cure and save your body and soul. Several names are given to it, and there it goes from the symbol of luck to the image of death.
