The article presents to science an important Ukrainian record of the early 18th century, Saint Michael’s Vydubychi Monastery’s chronicle, which covers predominantly the history of Vydubychi Monastery since its foundation by Kyiv prince Vsevolod Yaroslavych, Yaroslav Mudryi’s son, till the early 16th century. Determined is the scope of sources, which were the basis of the chronicle, as well as the date of the record’s creation, and certain original data, especially the data concerning the history of Hnylets Monastery. The latter, as to the author, had been founded by Saint Theodosius Pechersky, but was destroyed as early as in the 16th century. In addition, given in the article is an original ending of the record, taken from the other record’s variant, which is also deposited in the Institute of Manuscript of V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine
