Health policies and early diagnosis of breast cancer in Brazil
Abstract
Objective: To understand the development of public health policies aimed at the early diagnosis of breast cancer in Brazil. Method: Integrative literature review in which primary data were used in the databases of LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF with criteria established for the search of journals in Portuguese, English and Spanish through the research modalities and levels of Evidence in the 10-year period (2008-2018). Results: We observed that the productions in this theme have a gap regarding the development of actions of monitoring, technological support and efficiency, especially regarding the availability of access to individuals. Another important aspect identified are the gaps expressed in policies that reduce the reception and direction of cases in the proposal of care lines. Conclusion: It emerges the need to see more appropriately the determinant factors of this neoplasm for better planning and feasibility of new pathways in care for people with breast cancer.
