Ideological and political education, as a general education program in higher education, occupies an important position in the higher education system. The study creatively proposes a strategy for college ideological education based on cultural confidence, integrating cultural confidence into college ideological education. It also relies on the entropy power method, gray correlation analysis, and TOPSIS method to construct an evaluation model for Ideological and Political Education in colleges and universities and establishes an evaluation index system for Ideological and Political Education in colleges and universities. The proposed strategy of educating ideology and politics in colleges and universities based on cultural self-confidence is evaluated, and its actual educational effects are explored. Z The overall average score of ideology and politics education in colleges and universities is more than 15, and the overall educational level is good. The mean scores of each level one indicator are 15.26, 15.86, 15.19, 14.95, and 15.64, respectively. However, the impact of teaching implementation remains to be improved. The highest mean score of level two indicator of Ideological and Political Education in School Z is Ideological and Political Literacy (16.03), and the lowest score is teaching, and Learning Assessment (14.46), and the rest of the indicators are all greater than 15, School Z should pay more attention to Ideological and Political Education Teaching and Learning Assessment. Before the experiment, the difference between the experimental and control groups in each achievement is not more than 0.4, the P value is greater than 0.05, and there is no significant difference. After the experiment, the difference between each achievement of the two groups is 3.681, 5.3339, 2.429, and 11.449, respectively, and the P value is less than 0.05. The strategy of ideological and political education in colleges and universities based on cultural self-confidence has a significant effect on the improvement of college students’ ideological and political achievement.
