SIMION ZAMSA, A MASTER OF ARTISTIC PLAY

Abstract

In this article, illustrations, pictures, installations, design projects by Simion Zamsa (Zamsha), the famous artist from the Republic of Moldova, are examined. In the context of postmodernist aesthetics, the artworks representative for the artistic process of the republic are subjected to the description and analysis, with three stages of the creative evolution of the master been constituted, according to the stylistic and technical-artistic peculiarities. For the first time, S. Zamsa’s multilateral art is fully examined, as a synthesis of classical and modernist traditions, in a remarkable artistic reinterpretation.
