Abstract

The bust E-143 of the Prado Museum has been classified as a Renaissance work, without definitive arguments to support this hypothesis. The nerve of its back ensures its Roman origin, as no similar nerves have been documented in modern works. Possibly it is the image of an unknown person from the time of the Emperor Hadrian (117-38 AD) made by a Greek workshop
