Confronting Negative Information Aggression in the Domestic Information Space
Abstract
The article explores the Russian Federation potential and real information threats to Ukraine’s national information security. The current state of information security and protection of the national information space from negative information influences are considered, the fact that the Russian Federation presence in the Ukraine information space is constantly growing, is stressed. Attention is paid to confronting information aggression of the Russian Federation in the Ukrainian information space, since in the current war with Ukraine and the world Russia uses its newest weapon of mass destruction of high power - information. In analysis Russia hybrid war against Ukraine, special attention is given to acts of information and psychological influence that enable the aggressor country, contrary to international law, to achieve its goals using the human resources of the country being the object of intervention or aggression, and the human resources of other countries with simultaneous reduction of international community influence. At the same time, to ensure mass influence on the target audiences, the leadership of the aggressor country has taken outreach to a new level and created the conditions for its transformation into one of the main types of warfare. The decision was aimed at increasing the effectiveness of actions in the information sphere in the way of active use of modern social technologies, as well as expanding the interaction of all military and civilian information and advocacy structures. The introduction of effective mechanisms to counteract negative information influences, and issues related to searching for innovative ways to protect the Ukrainian information space are considered.
