Major risk factors affecting the efficiency of the civil construction projects

Abstract

This paper aims to identify the major risk factors that affect the efficiency of the civil construction projects. The research has indentified 17 risk factors which are considers as highly remarkable impact to the projects from the 36 found risk factors. Analytical Hierarchy Process method has been used to build the model which consists of projects effectiveness assessment, risk quantifying and risks ranking. The research results help business companies have promptly responsive solutions to potential risks of the projects. The model has been evaluated with real projects.
