House-to-house street planning and estate house upsizing in Yekaterinburg in the 19th – early 20th century
Abstract
The article discusses the upsizing of estate houses in Yekaterinburg in the 19th – early 20th century. The reasons for such upsizing are described, and the upsizing mechanism (reconstruction) is analyzed. An attempt is made to classify reconstructed buildings. The article may be of interest to students (study program – restoration and reconstruction of architectural heritage), restoration architects, art historians, heritage conservation, preservation and popularization specialists, and historical and cultural heritage assessment experts.
