Animal Law: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Abstract

Animal law has a short history. It appeared two centuries ago and was progressively extended and strengthened. However, the rules it contains can appear unsatisfactory, more focused on regulation that on protection of the animal. The real change would imply to implement a double process of dereification and constitutionalisation.
