In the first year of the government's rise to power in the 2018 elections, the Ministry of Education, even in the face of a troubled management and surrounded by polemics centered on the disqualification of knowledge production spaces (especially universities), launched different actions, projects and programs that, articulated, return to the logic of adequacy of education to the demands of the private sector that permeated our educational policies in the 1990s, under the premise of a more efficient management and a ‘closer’ formation of the labor market. Given this scenario, through dialogue with publicly available documentary sources and under the theoretical-methodological perspective of historical-dialectical materialism, we will seek to identify possible impacts of one of these programs, called ‘New Paths’, in the conception of training for work intrinsic to the Federal Institutes.
