The article is one of the first attempts of integral analysis of occurrence process of such curriculum and specialization as “scientific communism” in the training system for teaching and research activities in the Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko.The fact that in modern social science picture of the genesis of social and political sciences in Ukraine of last epoch there is an absolute “thirty years long white spot” provides this problem particular relevance. The available literature on the steps of their obtaining of the status of independent, institutionally introduced and controlled by the government sector of knowledge and perception is extremely miserly. It has only informational and reference character. While lighting conditions and determinant of the formation of specialized training of those whose profession became reproduction and development of theoretical and applied knowledge of policies within the faculty of philosophy of the Kiev University since the early 1960s to the early 1990s of the twentieth century are limited to publications in several paragraphs.Analysis of the general university specificity of the above period was conducted in the context of the evaluation of challenges to the political system of Soviet society of Post-Stalinist epoch and its requests. It is focused on theoretical understanding of objective conditions and causes, as well as subjective motivation of political and scientific elite to establish “scientific communism” in the Soviet Union as a matrix or direction of social and political studies and mandatory subject, it proposes the author’s interpretation of the most significant objectives and specific tasks of its introduction into the structure of higher education.The article pays particular attention to the highlighting of the influence of societal and primarily political and ideological factors to the nature of scientific activity of the teaching staff of higher education institutions, organizational support, ideological and theoretical content of the preparation process of political scientists during so-called “developed socialism” in the Soviet Union.
