THE IMAGE OF RUSSIA AND RUSSIANS IN CONTEMPORARY CHINESE REPORTAGE (BASED ON THE ARTICLES FROM THE JOURNAL "SHIJIE ZHISHI")

Abstract

This article studies formation of the image of Russia in modern Chinese analytic reportages. The image of Russia was studied by two methods often used in literary studies: imagology analysis and interpretation of the image of “the Other”. Texts were chosen by the key-words “Russia”, “Russian” in the context of modern political, economic and cultural issues. As the result, the most constant characteristics of Russia and Russians, the theme aspect, problem subjects, composition and linguistic methods in construction of Russia’s image were picked out.
