Panorama do ensino de Cartografia em Santa Catarina: os saberes e as dificuldades dos professores de geografia
Abstract
This paper presents some results of a research, which aimed on registering how teaching at Cartography is going on, and the teachers’ opinions were the parameters for these results. They were teachers of Basic Education at Geography from primary and high schools of Catarinense State Public Schools, including Young and Adult Education. These schools were chosen among 145 municipallities. Four hundred and fifty teachers answered some questionnaires and these data were organized in a system of Geographic Information in order to show its spacial distribution by the twenty small regions from Santa Catarina. It was observed that Cartography is the fragile point of Geography teachers not only regarding its contents, but also when teaching the Map and with it. This research allowed to break up a mith that teachers, whose background was in Geography, had a lower level of difficulty when compared with those ones from other areas. Some of these and others results are shown by graphics, specific maps, used to give a better comprehension to the reader.
