Evasion spirituelle autorisée : en détention, prière de réinsérer
Abstract
How does the French law perceive the question of the prayer in prison? A analysis of the "penal process" reveals that the notion of rehabilitation justifies the right to exercice a religious belief and is not perceived as an individual right. The law recognises that the allowance of prayer in prison encourages rehabilitation and yet respects the principal of non-discrimination as a collective activity and not as an act of faith.
