Abstract
Non-professional concept maps are graphical tools of knowledge representation, with an effective or non-effective hierarchical organization. They can take several visual shapes: hub, linear, circular, tree and network. They include concepts, enclosed in circles or boxes of some type, and the relationships between two concepts are usually indicated by a connecting line. Another important characteristic of well-structured concept maps is inclusion of cross-links. These are relationships or links between concepts in different segments or domains of the concept map. The article reports a qualitative analysis of different types of concept maps, produced by students, and it's relationship with learning efficiency, learning time and student's ages.
