Opinions and Suggestions of Teachers Working at Science and Art Centers Regarding Developing, Implementing and Evaluating Individualized Education Programs

This study aims to determine opinions of teachers working at the science and art centers regarding individualized education programs. The study was conducted through descriptive analysis approach one of the qualitative research methods. 22 teachers working at the Science and Art Center in the city center of Konya participated in the study. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form which consists of seven open-ended questions. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis and presented through percentages, frequencies and sectioning. The results of the study revealed that teachers do not use individualized education programs. However, the vast majority of teachers believe it is necessary to develop an Individualized Education Program. Moreover, teachers stated that they need in-service education to develop, implement and evaluate individualized education programs.
