Morpho-physiological sciences dynamic exhibition: report on university extension
Abstract
This paper reports on activities of the extension project entitled Morpho-physiological Sciences dynamics exhibition, which sought to create opportunities for propagation of technological and scientific innovation, conducted in a school and university context. Undergraduate students performed the exhibition of anatomic specimens and educational lectures on health that facilitated the learning of high school students from public schools. The insertion of an interdisciplinary project in schools made the experience more creative and engaging, arousing the interest of these students in joining academic careers, fostering the social inclusion of young students. The project also aimed at training undergraduate students to operate in a scientific display, increasing their field of expertise. The project showed positive results for both academics and high school students, who reported great interest, with enthusiasm and motivation in joining graduation courses, and these feelings were observed by the experience reports collected in the project.
