Colombian literature has not been alien to ima-gining future scenarios, to conjecture how thegeographical space of our cities is transformed intonew forms as a result of new social and political organization mo-dels, to predicting the destiny of Colombians in the centuries to come and to mapping the country of tomorrow. Two particu-lar novels were published in the early 2000’s, El cerco de Bogotá(2003) by Santiago Gamboa, and Iménez (2011) by Luis Noriega, which focus on Bogota and shape, from different genres, possi-ble universes of negative valence. This paper aims to analyze the scenarios proposed in these two works as well as a variety of thematic motifs, including power structures, science, and li-terature itself.
