La búsqueda de una nueva verosimilitud. Literatura neofantástica e patafísica

Abstract

In terms of literary tendencies, the neofantastic follows the fantastic. This new movement promotes a new verisimilitude, the incursion of the unusual element in daily life as an opening, as a passage to new realities where the ordinary daily takes a different road. The “Pataphysique” represents a trend sharing, the search for a new verisimilitude provoked by the existential angst. The “Pataphysique” does not understand the verisimilitude in a purely esthetic way, but more as an internal attitude, as a discipline, as a science and an art which allows every individual to live as an exception under his own laws. We will see how this new “truth”, this new verisimilitude, is evident in language plays in Jarry’s, Kafka’s, Cortázar’s, Vian’s or Queneau’s works, ironic distance, multifaceted humor, the meta-ready- made and the “collage”.
