A legal reflection on the relationship between food and the environment requires the delimitation of its field of analysis, falling within the broader thematic areas of food law and environmental protection, where a multitude of regulations operate, governing profiles characterized by mutual integration , and often by frequent overlapping. The article, without any claim to being exhaustive, but in order to provide further elements of reasoning, analytically targets the dense relational web that unfolds when topics such as food safety, health and the environment end up on the discussion table; a network that inevitably calls into question the dynamics of sustainability and food diversity, offering interesting insights into the configuration of that new concept, ecological citizenship, which is gradually becoming the focus of attention of some recent public policies.
