COMPETENCE APPROACH AS A METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of competence approach as a methodological basis of higher education. The author analyses the concepts «competence» and «competency». The author analyzes the Federal State Standard on Higher Professional Education of the third generation and Federal State Standard on Higher Education in search of means of shaping this competence. The author also formulates the definition and differentiates between the concepts of «professional competence» and «professionally applied competence».
