In this paper a numerical analysis to the Graetz problem with viscous dissipation is carried out, based on a series expansion of the temperature field and considering two conditions for the inlet temperature profile, the case of uniform temperature and the case of adiabatic-to-isothermal entrance condition. The Nusselt number is reported for different values of the Brinkman number. The range of Brinkman numbers considered has been extended to larges values. The numerical results show the relevance of considering the effect of viscous dissipation in some engineering problems where the Brinkman number is large.
