This article aims to study the role of the Italian language in the mojiganga "Los niños de la rollona y lo que pasa en las calles". First, a date of composition and authorship are set, since until now critics have attributed the piece to another Simón Aguado and have therefore incorrectly dated the mojiganga. Second, this study traces the origins, functions and objectives of the Italian proposed by the author from a phonetic, morphological, lexical and syntactic point of view, to see if Aguado is translating, imitating, reworking or parodying this language.
