Administrator of educational research establishments, globe trotter in the transmission of knowledge, pioneer experimenter in innovative computing, transmitter and agitator of ideas, fellow traveler of the Oulipo, member of the college de Pataphysique, amateur of counterpèteries, but also media and digital philosopher, historian of technical culture, prospectivist... Jacques Perriault was a tireless man. A man of a thousand facets, he knew how to practice all his life an entryism of intelligence. From the 1970s, in the dynamics of the Plan Calcul (Calculation Plan), he was one of the decision-makers-pioneers in the pedagogical appropriation of IT. Fortran, Lisp, Algol, Basic, none of the pioneering computer languages are foreign to him. As passionate about audiovisual as computer science, he closely associates INRIA researchers with the Computer Science and Education Division which he directs.
