On the use of micro-size charges of explosive to split above-ground tree stumps

Abstract

In the restoration works after the VAIA storm, one problem concerns the removal of above ground stumps. Since any mechanical method will hardly provide positive results, one possibility, reported in this note, concerns the idea of using micro-size charges of explosive to split the above-ground tree stumps.
