Growing economies, particularly developing ones, are driving increased oil demand. A sharp decline in oilfield productivity is taking place on the other side. Increasing profitability or total oil output can only be achieved if proper planning and scheduling are in place at the outset of the oil field development. One of the most important things is that we need to know how long each of these EOR techniques will last and how often they should be used. Enhanced Oil Recoveries methods in an oil field increase the amount of oil recovered. Economically, new technology has made it possible for greater oil to be recovered. For the duration of a project of an oil reservoir, the scheduling and planning must be taken into consideration quickly. To our knowledge, this is the first time a novel multi-objective framework for project selection and scheduling for Enhanced Oil Recovery methods has been provided. A coupled stochastic optimization-simulation is used to formulate this strategy. The MRST-SINTEF software open Project provides the simulation module. This is a novel formulation because it has never been employed before in the field of oil recovery, not even from industry-based software. The core of this work is based in formulating state of the art robust mathematical multi-modal activity formulation with no lag time between activities, where activities stand for injection processes. It has been shown through a real case that reducing the forcasted makespan of a project and scheduling by our methodology not only has benefits in expected expenditures but according this methodology the optimization of oil well placement for increasing oil recovery can be avoided. The Matlab code is provided in the section of results in such a simple way that the reader can easily implement it in other cases.
