Baroque society had a noticeable atmosphere of irritability, ex-plained by circumstances and different reasons, which affected all its members. Musicians, known for their troublesome nature, also starred a lot of incidents, though barely led in courts. This paper propose to analyze a sample of civil and religious lawsuits that affected musicians from Hispanic world in 17th and 18th cen-turies, with the objective of standing out the causes that drove and damaged them the most or the musicians’ offences that Baroque society considered unforgivable. This will reveal if the bad reputation of this socioprofesional group in fact is based in a contrastable reality. This is interesting to the study of musical profession in Hispanic Baroque and social conflicts.
