Abstract
In the article biographies of four persons who played different roles (varying from inconsequential to significant) in M.O. Gershenzon’s life are reconstructed on the basis of archival documents. Three of them never became objects of historical research and were never mentioned in scientific literature; by contrast, the last one, N.N. Shchekotikhin, is widely recognized as the pioneer of Belarusian art history, but was never identified as a young member of Gershenzon-Goldenweiser family.
