Sewell y Los Pelambres
Abstract
Históricamente, muchos de los asentamientos en la precordillera andina se han localizado según la ubicación de recursos naturales. Se analizan dos asentamientos chilenos relacionados a la minería del cobre, uno de inicios del s. xx -Sewell- y otro de inicios del s. xxi -Pelambres-, diferenciando sus particulares modos de entender el territorio y formas de vivirlo.Many of the settlements in the Andean foothills have been established according to location of natural resources. Two Chilean settlements related to copper mining are analyzed, one from the beginnings of the 20th century -Sewell- and another from the beginnings of the 21st century -Pelambres-, differentiating their particular ways of understanding the land and inhabiting it.
