Kdo je kdo v slovenskih zdravstvenih javnih zavodih: analiza principalov in agentov

Abstract

This paper analyses an essential part of corporate governance in Slovenian public health care institutions, namely the definition of principals and contractors and their relationship to each other. The aim is to find out (a) who is the principal and who is the agent in these facilities, and (b) to what extent the activities of agents and principals are coordinated to match the operating environment of these facilities and the effectiveness of corporate governance in these facilities. The initial thesis is that the roles of principals and agents in Slovenian public health facilities are undefined and uncoordinated, which may lead to corporate governance failures in these facilities. The results presented are preliminary and are intended to serve as a basis for further research in this area.
