This paper presents various researches conducted by different European and world organizations, as well as national competent bodies dealing with the protection of children's rights on the Internet. There is no doubt that the accelerated development of new technologies affects the daily lives of all of us, and especially the lives of children. As a result of rapid changes at the global level, there are certain risks when it comes to exercising the rights of the younger population. Unfortunately, cyberbullying is becoming everyday and therefore it is necessary to adequately act and implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as the Family Law of our country (Republic of Serbia), in order to protect children in cyberspace. Also, in this paper, we will focus on the measures that need to be taken in order to improve the safety of children on the Internet. In the last part of this paper, the tort liability of minors for damages on the Internet will be considered.
