Tempos de pandemia: breves apontamentos sobre sociedade e política no Brasil

Abstract

This papper has the objetive to analyze some social and political aspects related to the current context in Brazil. Working on issues such as society, politics and the pandemic context, we aim to discuss some current issues related to the extraordinary current reality. The work becomes important due to the dialogue between theory and social reality, in a conversation that aims at reflecting on the current Brazilian socio-political aspects. The methodology used is characterized as a theoretical analysis, discussing bibliographies related to the thematic outline of the proposal. Among the results, it was possible to perceive that the political polarization, present more strongly since 2018, is also present in the interpretations about the social reality affected by the pandemic. It was also possible to observe the unequal social reality of Brazil being unveiled throughout the pandemic, showing pre-pandemic problems in an even greater range. Furthermore, the political dichotomy adds to conflicts between economic and public health interests.
